Low Moor Medical Practice
Flu Campaign 2020
We find ourselves in unprecedented times. In a pre-COVID environment, patients would have had a 2-3 month period in which to ensure they received their Influenza Vaccine.
Unfortunately, due to our current predicament, we have a 5-week window, starting 21st September, in which to achieve the initial group of vaccines before we begin to prepare for the second group of vaccines for the remainder of patients aged 50 to 64 years old.
For this second group, we await further direction from NHS England. In order that NHS England can commit to planning and executing this second group, ALL patients who where previously eligible for the vaccines need to have had it administered, or informed the Practice of their decision to NOT to have the vaccine, by 30th October 2020.

We have set up a dedicated 'Flu 2020' line for patients to book-in for their flu vaccine:
Dedicated 'Flu 2020' Line:  01274 697615
from Mon 7th September 2020; Mon-Fri 1000hrs - 1200hrs

This will be a 'First Come, First Serve' basis, and there will be no choice of Clinic.
Having the vaccine is the single best way of preventing, catching and spreading the flu virus and to support the NHS this winter flu is a virus and not treatable with antibiotics.
DO NOT BOOK A FLU APPOINTMENT VIA THE RECEPTIONISTS - THEY DO NOT HAVE ACCESS.
